Australian Goju Instructor Leon Romary Wins Commonwealth Title

Leon Romary won the 70-75kg Commonwealth Title in Auckland NZ on Saturday the 13th. of August at the Commonwealth Karate Games.

Leon also came 3rd in the Open Weight Division, losing to the eventual winner from Senegal

National Cadet Champion Daniel Krukowski also finished in 3rd. Place at his first international Tournament

SPECIAL NOTE:

Best fighter of the event was probably young Maciek Krukowski who came 2nd in the 14years Kumite

All AGK Kumite fighters came no less than 4th. Position.

Tom Carberry, Lachlan McMillan, Amar Porcic, Ben Rayner Kane Loveday and Katie Carberry were all selected for the Victorian Team, fought tremendously well and in most cases finished with their personal best performances. In all cases these fighters were unlucky not to have finished with Bronze Medals.
